Interview

Heppenheim, Germany / Warsaw, Poland – July 20, 2026 – InfectoPharm Arzneimittel und Consilium GmbH has officially inaugurated its new Polish office in Warsaw. Led by Beata Treszczynska, Managing Director of InfectoPharm Polska, the new branch is now initiating its measured in-market commercial operations and distribution. Alongside her team of experienced professionals, Treszczynska assumes full strategic responsibility for the first InfectoPharm product rollout in the country.
A key part of the agenda was aligning the heritage and expertise of the Heppenheim headquarters with the mission, priorities, and ambitions of InfectoPharm Polska. To foster this connection, Dr. Markus Rudolph, Managing Director of InfectoPharm Germany, and Florence Wiche, Head of Global Sales & International Business, introduced the team to the history, culture, scientific achievements, and corporate values of InfectoPharm.
First product lauch – indispensible for severe bacterial infections
The first product from the German InfectoPharm portfolio is now available in the Polish market: InfectoFos is indicated for the treatment of severe bacterial infections in hospital settings. Its active ingredient fosfomycin is recognized on the World Health Organization (WHO) Model List of Essential Medicines. Further product rollouts are scheduled shortly.
This launch marks a critical milestone for the company’s expansion in Poland. “Our ambition is to become a reliable partner for healthcare professionals in addressing one of the most serious challenges in modern medicine: bacterial resistance”, states Treszczynska.
Following the kick-off meeting and official opening with a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony, we sat down with Beata Treszczynska and Anna Grodzka, Senior Sales and Marketing Manager, to review the launch and discuss the next operational steps, team structure, and early market reactions.
Ms. Treszczynska, the first important milestones have been reached, and the Polish team is now complete. What are the next immediate steps?
Beata Treszczynska: With InfectoFos, our first priority is to ensure a reliable supply and provide our partners with high-quality medical information and support.
Our field team has completed an intensive training programme and has benefited greatly from the expertise, knowledge and high-quality medical materials provided by our colleagues in Germany.
We are now focused on building strong partnerships across the Polish healthcare market. At the same time, we are preparing for the re-launch of InfectoScab in dermatology and further important products from the InfectoPharm portfolio later this year.
Ms. Grodzka, a growing portfolio requires a strong team. What makes the newly established Polish team stand out?
Anna Grodzka: We have built an exceptional field team made up of highly professional and experienced people who bring different perspectives, backgrounds and areas of expertise to the organization.
What distinguishes them is not only their strong professional knowledge, but also their commitment, willingness to learn and develop, and clear focus on achieving ambitious goals.
From the very first days, it has been evident how well the team communicates, supports one another and works together. Despite the diversity of experience and personalities, there is a strong sense of trust, shared responsibility and genuine team spirit.
This combination of experience, openness, energy and close cooperation gives us a strong foundation for building InfectoPharm’s presence in Poland and providing high-quality support to healthcare professionals across the market.
The field team is supported by colleagues in our Warsaw office, ensuring close cross-functional cooperation and smooth local operations.
Ms. Treszczynska, establishing a new country organization also requires strong infrastructure. How would you describe the cooperation with the headquarters in Heppenheim?
Beata Treszczynska: The cooperation is very close and extremely important during this initial phase. We are currently integrating our systems and digital tools to ensure a smooth connection with the headquarters in Heppenheim. At the same time, we are building the local infrastructure needed to communicate effectively with the Polish market.
This includes the upcoming launch of our Polish website, the development of a local newsletter and a stronger presence on social media.
As a partner to Polish healthcare professionals, we want our communication to be fast, reliable, safe and transparent.
Ms. Treszczynska, what do you see as the greatest opportunity for InfectoPharm in Poland?
Beata Treszczynska: The greatest opportunity is to respond to specific local healthcare needs by combining them with the quality, expertise and experience of a specialized German pharmaceutical company.
Healthcare professionals in Poland value a focused product portfolio, scientific credibility, strong medical expertise and a reliable supply chain. These are precisely the strengths that InfectoPharm brings to the Polish market, and they give us a strong foundation for building long-term partnerships.
The opening of InfectoPharm Polska is an important step in our European development.
